My Approach to Teaching
I believe acting is an embodied art that begins with curiosity, imagination, and presence.
At HB Studio and in my private coaching, I help actors move beyond habitual choices to create performances that are truthful, specific, and deeply alive.
My approach integrates the work of Michael Chekhov, Uta Hagen, Feldenkrais Awareness Through Movement, improvisation, breathwork, elemental energies, chakra-centered character exploration, and animal archetypes.
By engaging the body, breath, imagination, and intuition, actors develop authentic, emotionally resonant performances while discovering a creative process that is uniquely their own—on stage, on screen, and beyond.

Her use of Feldenkrais, elemental dynamics, Stanislovsky, psychological gesture, and modulating between theatricality and working on-camera all combined to move me in exciting directions in discovering moment-to-moment character choices, overcoming physical tension, and being more fully present.
Magaly has great intuition as an acting coach, and can sense if something isn't working and will readily discard an approach if it's not useful.
